Lilac & Gold Christmas Card

The background paper inspired the colour scheme of this card. It is a sheet from the Crafty Individuals Christmas pad I bought several years ago. I wanted to use this Holly stamp from Hero Arts and I stamped it using Versamark ink and heat set it before colouring with Derwent Inktense pencils. The berries were heavily Stickles in purple and the image die cut with my favorite Labels Eight die, and Distress Ink Milled Lavender was applied to the edges whilst still in the die. The same die cut in metallic gold was angled under the image and the Ribbon Trio Tag was cut out of the same paper. The sentiment, also Hero Arts, was stamped onto it and lilac ribbon threaded through and a purple bling finished the card.
I'm into 'different' Christmas colours this year!

Baubles a plenty!

Another Hero Arts Stamp, stamped in black and coloured with Derwent Inkesential Pencils and liberally doused with Stickles created this fun card. Then cut out using the Spellbinders Labels Eight, trimmed and mounted onto the silver labels eight card and both onto a navy blue card. .... be merry..... added to the card and that completes another card for the stash!

Pink Christmas

This card uses a lovely set of stamps from Hero Arts. I also used a piece of my favorite Christmas paper - not sure how many Christmases I will be able to stretch this over! I stamped the large tree onto dark green card three times. I then folded them in half and glued half of each onto either side of the center tree to create a 3D tree. The other two trees were stamped onto lighter green card. All the trees were embossed with gold embossing powder as was the sentiment, which was cut out using the Ribbon Tag Two Trio set and attached to the card with a pink grosgrain ribbon. A little pink bling at the top of the trees finished the card off.
Love the colours, hope you do to!

Start of the Christmas Season.....

I can't believe it is just 2 months till Christmas is upon us again!
When you are a child it seems so long between Christmases, but when you get old..er, it comes around faster than we would like!
I have started on some Christmas cards and will be previewing them over the next few days.
This card features Crafty Individuals fantastic products.
I used one of the sheets from their Christmas Papers pad and I took a set of prints from their Christmas Miniatures pad and colour copied them onto acetate in order to have the transparent look.
The printed paper was cut down to 14.5 cm square and mounted onto an old gold card.  In the center of the gold card I cut a square using nestabilities and then a larger square out of the center of the printed paper. The transparacy was attached to the gold card and then the printed card mounted over it. Using the Martha Stewart photo corners punch, I cut 4 red vellum corners and added them to the printed card. Also in vellum are these beautiful embossed Pointsettias created by using the amazing Dutch punches from Joan at Country Crafts and delightful Holly leaves. Gold flower soft was placed in the center of the flowers and gold beads into the center of the vellum corners. Gold sticker beading was used as an outline around the center panel. A very simple card, but very pretty.

WCMD Inspiration Cards

Below are a few of the cards I made out of some the 12 pieces cut out of one sheet of double sided scrapping paper.
Very simple - it makes you think hard about how you are going to use this piece of paper. There were some amazing creations made during the afternoon.
